My name is Linda. Consider me pleased to make your acquaintance.
I was born in Chicago and raised in the northwest suburbs by two parents with good senses of humor and families full of stories. When I used to get bored during the summer as a kid, I'd read fantasy novels like the Harry Potter books and the Lord of the Rings trilogy—repeatedly—in the hammock in our backyard. I wrote my own stories and dreamed of writing the "next Great American Novel" on a napkin—okay, probably several napkins—someday. Stories are still my passion, so I'm double-majoring in English and Communication at Carroll University, which is located just outside of Milwaukee in Waukesha, WI. I’m on track to graduate with a B.A. in May 2018.
My education has shown me that communication, in its many forms, entails everything we do. Both my education and my experience have shown me how complicated it can be to do so effectively but how crucial it is to communicate well. Wherever I work and whatever I do, I strive to be a dynamic communicator. I’m particularly interested in the multi-faceted exhibit of beautiful beasts that makes up mass media. Alongside the passion for writing I’ve had for a decade, I aspire to edit professionally in order to help others tell the stories worth telling in the best way possible—after all, they deserve it.
