Published Academic WorkJune 2017 - As a participant in the "Opening the Digital Anthology of Early Modern English Drama: Skills, Tools, and Texts" institute at the Folger Shakespeare Library, I helped edit an open access edition of Thomas Dekker's Shoemaker's Holiday (1600) with Emily Johnson and Shaun Nowicki. Employing the Oxford English Dictionary and Corpus Query Processor, we built on Folger EMED's edition of the play by adding gloss and performance notes to a particularly rich scene (pages 14-15 in the PDF). The notes (pages 54-56) draw attention to language subtleties that fuel the play's nuanced and overarching commentary on class difference in Early Modern English society. They are composed for the benefit of readers who wish to experience or perform the play. |

June 2016 - As Undergraduate Managing Editor of a special issue of the journal Nineteenth-Century Gender Studies ("Teaching Nineteenth-Century Literature and Gender in the Twenty-First-Century Classroom"), I co-wrote and edited the student introduction. I also assisted in the article selection, editing, reference-checking, and proofing of the rest of the issue. |
